James H. Simpson

Mr. Simpson joined LHT Consulting Group following a twenty-year career in Supply Chain and Materials Management. Born and raised in Southern California, he studied in Houston, Texas at The University of St. Thomas, where he earned his degree in Finance.

Upon graduating from St. Thomas, Mr. Simpson relocated to Palm Springs, California, woking in the hospitality industry as Food & Beverage Director for the Wyndham Hotel & Resort. He then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, working in the growing Biotech Industry. He held the position of Purchasing Manager for Becton Dickinson/BD BioSciences, which specializes in biotechnology research and manufacturing of scientific instrumentation.

Returning to Houston in 2007, Simpson joined Service Corporation International (SCI) as Purchasing Manager, where he oversaw several multi-million dollar indirect supply programs in the company’s Supply Chain Management department. It is in this role that Mr. Simpson worked closely with LHT Consulting Group, a division of SCI, to provide operational and materials support to many of the company’s high-profile funeral events and services.

In 2014 Mr. Simpson was named Vice President of Plan Development for LHT Consulting Group where he manages the technical development and delivery of Master Funeral and Memorial Event Plans. In this role, he works closely with LHT Senior Directors and principal clients to precisely define the unique details of each event plan.

Since joining LHT, Mr. Simpson has developed a fully-automated, cloud-based file sharing platform for the distribution and presentation of LHT client funeral and memorial portfolios. This program has streamlined client collaboration during the initial plan development process, therefore, enhancing the overall client-satisfaction experience. Additionally, Mr. Simpson continues to share his knowledge and experience to deliver exceptional operational support to LHT’s national Ceremonial Funeral Team.
